Turkey and Cambodia continue to expand cooperation in trade and halal food cooperation

Cambodian Minister of Commerce Pan Sorasak met with Turkish Commerce Minister, H.E Mrs Ruhsar Pekcan on last Firday in Angkara, Turkey. At the meeting both Ministers agreed to further enhance bilateral trade and investment cooperation to serve economic development and expanding trade volume between the two countries.
H.E Pan Sorasak spoke of the results of the second session of the Cambodia-Turkey Joint Economic Committee. He wished to see the relevant institutions of the two parties to work together to seek measures to increase bilateral trade.
The Commerce Minister also asked Turkish Airlines to launch direct flights to Cambodia and providing technical assistance of hygiene and certification to promote halal food in Cambodia.
In reply, the Turkish Minister of Commerce, H.E Mrs Ruhsar Pekcan encouraged both sides to work together to seek key measures to increase bilateral trade and agreed to establish joint working groups to provide assistance of Halal cuisine techniques, exchange visits and share Turkish Halal cuisine experiences to contribute to halal food development in Cambodia.
