The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, said that in a situation where the world is facing complicated problems, the National Assembly has an important and indispensable role in contributing to regional and global issues.
The remarks were made when Samdech Techo Hun Sen delivered a key note speech at the opening of the 43rd ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, on November 21, 2022, at Sokha Hotel.
In a situation where the world is facing many complex issues, I would like to emphasize that the legislature, especially the National Assembly, has an important and indispensable role in contributing to regional issues, said Samdech techo Hun Sen.
He added that the celebration of the 43rd ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly is a rare opportunity for the AIPA delegation to participate in a wide-ranging discussion on these topics in order to strengthen cooperation as a whole and seek policy recommendations, in particular, a common position for the benefit of all people.
