The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, said that receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award of the World Leader is a testament to the glorious success of the Royal Government of Cambodia, especially through a win-win policy implementation
The remarks were made when Samdech Techo was awarded the "Lifetime Achievement Award of Outstanding Leader" presented by the Strategic Institute for Asia (KSI) on "Building ASEAN-China Relations" on December 19, 2022, at the Peacd palace in Phnom Penh.
Samdech Techo expressed his deep gratitude to the Committee of the Strategic Institute for Asia-Pacific, which recognizes the achievements and efforts of Samdech over the past four decades.
Samdech Techo stressed that receiving this prestigious award is a testament to the glorious success of the Royal Government of Cambodia, especially through the implementation of the" win-win policy "that brought about national unity, peace and political stability. This has become a strong driver and impetus for Cambodia's economic growth to achieve an average of 7% annually until Cambodia becomes an upper middle income country by 2030 and a high income one by 2050.
Samdech Techo continued to say that since Cambodia became the 10th member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 1999, Cambodia has been recognized as a country that has actively integrated into the region and the world, has built friendships and better cooperation with other countries, and has been actively playing an equal role in all international affairs, both in the regional and global framework.
Samdech Techo added that the efforts of organizing the successful ASEAN Summit in 2002, 2012 and 2022 are a national pride for Cambodia in the international arena, showing the world the spirit of contributing to the building of the ASEAN Community and Strengthen multilateral cooperation for peace, stability, security and sustainable development in the world and the region.
