Acting Head of State receives credential letter from newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Myanmar

The acting Head of State highly appreciated the constant development of good relations between Cambodia and Myanmar.

Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdey Say Chhum, Acting Head of State of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on Monday, March 4, 2024, received credential letter from His Excellency Kyaw Soe Min, who has been appointed as Ambassador of the Republic of Myanmar to Cambodia.

Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdey Say Chhum congratulated His Excellency Kyaw Soe Min, on his appointment as the Ambassador of the Republic of Myanmar to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The Acting Head of State noted with pleasure the good relations and cooperation between the two countries. Cambodia-Myanmar has a long history of relations, and both countries and peoples practice the same Buddhism, stressed Samdech Say Chhum.

The Acting Head of State was confident that the Ambassador of the Republic of Myanmar to the Kingdom of Cambodia would continue to work to further strengthen the friendship and cooperation in all fields between the two countries and peoples. 

The Acting Head of State stressed that the Senate, National Assembly, Royal Government, Ministries and National Institutions of Cambodia are always ready to cooperate closely with the Ambassador to promote friendly relations and cooperation that brings great benefits to each other. 

For his part, the Ambassador of Myanmar expressed his satisfaction and appreciation for the good relations and cooperation between the two countries and was confident that through his diplomatic mission in the Kingdom of Cambodia, he would strive to contribute to the strengthening of friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries.
