Artists have had a model role to play for young Cambodians and society to join the Royal Government in the fight against drugs.

H.E Neth Savoeun, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Authority for Combating Drugs, mentioned this on July 7, 2024, when he presided over the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the National Authority for Combating Drugs and the Cambodian Artists Association.

The Deputy Prime Minister Neth Savoeun considered the educational message produced by the artists an important factor in raising awareness of the impact and the dangers of drugs to the public in all walks of life, especially among the youth.

Deputy Prime Minister Neth Savoeun stressed that the Royal Government of the 7th legislature led by Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, the Prime Minister of Cambodia, has focused on education among many other ways to fight drugs while the means of disseminating education must be up-to-date and effective, especially through those who have a large following, such as artists.

H.E Neth Savoeun called on artists to participate in promoting the No-Drug mobile app of the National Authority for Combating Drugs more widely, adding that the No-Drug app is also an important way to send information to the authorities and the public.
