The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal expressed his belief that Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s role and achievements would set a priceless model for the world, especially small countries.
The Nepalese Parliament Speaker, H.E Dev Raj Ghimire, said about his belief when he paid a courtesy call on Samdech Techo Hun Sen in Phnom Penh on November 24, 2024. Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of Cambodia, thanked the Nepalese Parliament Speaker for his promoting Cambodia’s role in the pursuit of peace for humanity and the world. Samdech Techo Hun Sen also appreciated the participation of the delegation of the Nepalese Parliament for attending the 11th plenary session of the International Parliament in Cambodia as the united voice of developing countries.
The Nepalese House Speaker expressed his deep thanks to Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Cambodia for hosting the 11th plenary session of the International Parliament for tolerance and peace, stressing that peace is increasingly important for the world today.
More than 300 delegates representing 53 countries have taken part in the 11th Plenary Session of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace held in Phnom Penh from November 23 to 26. The event was
hosted by Cambodia’s National Assembly on the theme of “A Quest for Peace, Reconciliation and Tolerance.” The focus of this session has been to draft and issue landmark documents including the Phnom Penh Declaration and the Peace Charter for Humanity and the Planet.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate presided over the session on Sunday November 24. Samdech Techo Hun Sen delivered remarks on the peace-building efforts in Cambodia. He briefed the participants on the successful implementation of the Cambodian government’s win-win policy.
The peace Cambodia enjoys today is the longest period in nearly 500 years, spanning almost 27 years, and the preservation of peace is of the highest priority for Cambodia, stressed Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
