The Cambodia-US bilateral trade volume reached more than US$9.3 billion in the past 11 months of 2024.

According to the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, the amount represented an increase of more than 11 percent compared to the same period in 2023. It further said that of amount more than US$244 million was worth in the US goods imported into Cambodia.

Neak Oknha Lim Heng, Vice President of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce, told local news reporters on December 17, 2024, that Cambodian exports to the United States still maintained good growth despite instability in the region and the Middle East a flow of investment has also been seen in the industrial sector, especially the garment sector.

Cambodia has also exported some agricultural products to the US market, while the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce Representative Office is playing an important role in helping to promote Cambodia's potential agricultural sectors and products to the US market.

Dr. Hong Vannak, an economist at the Royal Academy of Cambodia indicated that as relations between the two countries has improved, the environment for investment and trade between the two countries has become more favorable.

He expected that Cambodia will continue to receive tax preferences on many imported goods. This is very important in attracting investment from various countries to produce and export to the US market."

According to the Ministry of Commerce, goods that Cambodia exported to the United States included clothing, travel accessories, bicycles, and some consumer goods.

The United States imports were cars, machinery, jewelry, cosmetics, electrical and electronic equipment, and some consumer goods.
