The Senate President of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen highly appreciated the position of US President Donald Trump against fake news, particularly on government-funded media outlets in the US.

On his official Facebook Post on March,17, 2025, Samdech Techo Hun Sen stressed that the US President’s position has been a major contribution to eliminating fake news, disinformation, lies, distortions, incitement, and chaos around the world.

The President of the Cambodian Senate further said that the positive phenomena have also come from the propaganda machine that President Trump has stopped funding.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen recalled his speech at the ASEAN-US summit in the presence of President Trump in the Philippines in 2017, in which he stressed that the lack of trust in the US by some countries also stemed from the US media, which misleads those countries into thinking wrong about the position of the US government.

The behavior and words of a small number of reporters and newscasters are more arrogant than those of heads of states or governments, lacking virtue and ethics, underlined Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
