The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia instructed the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport​​ and other institutions to improve the flow of traffic throughout Phnom Penh capital.

Speaking at the official launching ceremony of the Morodok Techo flyover in Phnom Penh on Monday April 7, 2025, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, said that due to the increase in vehicles in Phnom Penh, it has been necessary to improve traffic flows throughout the capital.

The Cambodian Prime Minister recommended the development of one-way roads and the setting of hours for large vehicles to enter and exit the capital.

The Cambodian Prime Minister also said that the Phnom Penh administration and the Ministry of Public Works and Transport have had to consider the issue as most of the roads in the capital cannot be expanded any further.

The Prime Minister urged all relevant institutions to ensure smooth public transportation in the capital.
