The Cambodian Prime Minister: Three factors contribute to happiness for citizens during the New Year

The Cambodian Prime Minister, SamdechThipadei Hun Manet said that peace and security, better infrastructure and transportation for citizens have contributed to making citizens across the country happy and celebrate the traditional Khmer New Year.

Speaking at the official opening ceremony of the “Angkor Sangkranta 2025” event in SiemReap on April 14, 2025, in front of Angkor Wat Temple, Siem Reap Province.

Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister also stated that all citizens enjoy the Sangkranta festivals across the country, especially the Angkor Sangkranta festival, which provides joy and happiness, with many people, both Siem Reap residents and people across the country, wanting to have such events to celebrate the Khmer New Year.

In addition, the Cambodian Prime Minister also highlighted that these developments are more clearly visible about the value of peace and security that Samdech Akka Moha Sena PadeiTecho Hun Sen achieved through the implementation of win-win politics in late 1998.

He added that without peace, there is no development, and there is no happy gathering. In this sense, the Royal Government of the 7th mandate of the national assembly to maintaining peace at all costs to ensure that Cambodia will become a country with strong development, to achieve the 2050 vision.
