The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, H.E. Mrs. Paetongtarn Shinawatra will pay a two-day official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said in a press release on Monday April 21 that the visit will take place from April 23 to 24, 2025, at the invitation of Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha BorvorThipadei Hun Manet.
The press release further said that the visit is to further strengthen the traditional friendship between the two countries.
H.E Mrs. Paetongtarn Shinawatra will be granted a royal audience with His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, and will have separate courtesy calls on Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, and Samdech Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly.
The Thai Prime Minister will also have a bilateral meeting with Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, to discuss setting action directions to further deepen and expand mutually beneficial cooperation. After the meeting, the two leaders will also witness the signing ceremony of documents on bilateral cooperation in several fields.
The visit of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, H.E. Mrs. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, also coincides with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Thailand.
Cambodia and Thailand re-established diplomatic relations on December 19, 1950, and 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
