Samdech Maha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, instructed the Governor of Kampong Speu Province to maintain investment, as Kampong Speu Province is a province with potential in the factory and enterprise sector.

The Cambodian Prime Minister made the instruction when presided over the official inauguration of the International Tourist Port in Kampot province, on Monday, April, 21.

The inauguration ceremony is a testament to another new national achievement and Cambodia's progressive development in the water transport and port sectors in particular, which has emerged in accordance with the clear policies and strategic plans of the Royal Government of Cambodia to strengthen and promote the development of the water transport sector in the Kingdom.

The International Tourist Port has favorable natural conditions that can allow ships carrying up to 300 passengers or tourists to enter and exit.

The project used funds from a loan of the Asian Development Bank of worth about US$10 million and the counterpart fund from the Royal Government of Cambodia.
