Addressing the inauguration of the BYD CAMBODIA CO., LTD. vehicle assembly plant in Preah Sihanouk Province ,on April 28, H.E Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, stated that the Council for the Development of Cambodia, the Royal Government’s agency for investment, has continued to strive to improve and enhance the business and investment climate in Cambodia and continue to open the doors for foreign investors to invest in Cambodia.

H.E Sun Chanthol stressed that in order to create a business environment that responds to the needs and concerns of investors, the Royal Government has established several mechanisms, such as the Royal Government-Private Sector Forum, which has been organized 19 times, and the dialogue between the state and the private sector, including: Cambodia-Japan, Cambodia- South Korea, Cambodia-US and Cambodia-Europe, which are organized with the aim of helping to solve the challenges and concerns that businessmen and investors encounter in their operations in Cambodia.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that the cdcIPM system has a special feature that allows applicants and the CDC leadership to check the progress of the application at any time to ensure that the requested investment project is approved within 20 working days in accordance with the current investment law. He also encouraged all investors who wish to apply to register new investment projects or expand their existing investment projects registered with the Council for the Development of Cambodia to use the Cambodia Investment Project Management System for convenience and time saving.
