Cambodia and Vietnam have agreed to work toward increasing trade volume between the two countries

Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Senate, and H.E Chinh Thanh Minh, President of the Vietnamese National Assembly, expressed their full support for the agreement between the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Government of Vietnam to boost trade to US$20 billion.

The two leaders met in Ho Chi Minh on Monday, April 29, 2025, where Samdech Techo Hun Sen and his delegation attended the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Liberation of the South and Vietnam’s reunification.

The President of the National Assembly of Vietnam thanked the Royal Government of Cambodia for sending troops to participate in the military parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s reunification.

For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his congratulations to the Vietnamese Parliament, Government and people for celebrating the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s reunification.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked the Vietnamese Party, Parliament and Government for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to the Cambodian high-ranking delegation during their stay in Ho Chi Minh city.

He also considered the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s reunification a meaningful event.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen arrived in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam on April 29 to attend the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification organized by the Vietnamese government from April 29 to 30.
