His Excellency Net Pheaktra, Minister of Information. H.E Neth Pheaktra stated that the meeting between journalists and the Head of Government would be held on May 3, 2025 the same day as the celebration of World Press Freedom Day.

The Minister of Information thanked all the members of the organizing committee for the meeting for their efforts to ensure the smooth and successful organization of the event.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen, former Prime Minister, initiated the organization of the meeting between journalists and the Prime Minister in 2017 to provide an opportunity for journalists to discuss and raise issues, suggestions, or concerns to the Head of the Royal Government for review and help resolve them.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen has set January 14 as the day of the meeting, and it has been moved to May 3 every year at the recommendation of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Royal Government of the 7th mandate.

This meeting, which takes place on May 3, 2025 at the Chroy Changvar International Convention and Exhibition Center, Phnom Penh, is a demonstration of participation in promoting openness, freedom of the press and expression in Cambodia.
