The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, said that good cooperation between the Supreme Courts of Cambodia and Laos will contribute to law enforcement to support the fight against crimes and prevent cross-border crimes, including cybercrime, human trafficking and illegal drugs.

The point was made when Samdech ThipadeiHun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, met with Her excellency Viengthong Siphandone, President of the Supreme People's Court of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, at the Peace Palace on Monday, May 5, 2025.

Her excellency Viengthong Siphandoneinformed Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister that the main purpose of her visit to Cambodia is to strengthen and expand cooperation between the Supreme Courts of Laos and Cambodia, which would contribute to promoting stronger relations and friendship between the two countries.

For his part, the Cambodian Prime Minister expressed his appreciation with the good relations between the two countries, which reached the level of “comprehensive and long-term strategic partnership” in 2019. The Cambodian Prime Minister stressed that that the strong bond of friendship between the two countries is a legacy passed down by previous generations of leaders, and that the Royal Government of Cambodia of the 7th mandate of the National Assembly will continue to deepen this relationship.
