In a meeting with H.E Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, in Phnom Penh on Monday May 5, Mr. Adam Trina, CEO of Montana Fly company, said that his company was looking at ways of choosing Cambodia as a global production base to supply the world market.
With the support and recommendations of the Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister, the US company Montana Fly said that it was committed to continuing to expand its investment in Cambodia and using Cambodia as a global production base to supply the world market.
Montana Fly is the largest manufacturer of fishing lures in the world, with its products sold to North America and the European Union.
The company decided to choose Cambodia as its main manufacturing hub due to the favorable factors of Cambodia, including the Royal Government of Cambodia’s business-friendly policies that allow foreign investors to own 100% of their businesses, and the government’s continued investment in logistics infrastructure with a highly productive and young workforce that is open to new training.
The company currently employs approximately 650 people and is committed to expanding its investment to continue its production in Cambodia.
Also present at the meeting was Mr. Casey Barnett, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia.
