Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, said that the reform of the provision of administrative services at the sub-national level has been a priority in the work of decentralization and deconcentralization reform.
H.E Sar Sokha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior made the point when he presided over the closing ceremony of the 2024 annual workshop on Tuesday May 6. The workshop focused mainly on the provision of administrative services through the One Window Service mechanism and the mediation and resolution of complaints through the Citizens' Office mechanism at the sub-national level.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that the reform of the delivery of public services has had to be consistent and interconnected with other reforms of the Royal Government.
Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha highly appreciated the important participation and comments of the workshop and said that all the comments, proposals and requests at the workshop would serve as a basis for discussions with relevant ministries and institutions or for guidelines from the Head of the Royal Government to find appropriate solutions and take further measures to implement them more effectively.
He also said that reforming administrative service at sub-national administrations has been a priority task in the work of decentralization and deconcentralization reforms. The Deputy Prime Minister added that those reforms have had to be consistent and interconnected with other reforms of the Royal Government, including: public financial management reform, public administration reform, legal reform and justice system reform. His Excellency Sar Sokha went on to say that while reforms in each sector have had to support and coordinate with the five core reforms to ensure that the improvement of public institutions has to be in accordance with the approach of the vitality of the single actor system.”
