H.E Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, has recommended integrating artificial intelligence programs into students’ curricula to help inspire creativity and facilitate students’ learning in this digital age.
The Minister of Education made the recommendation when he chaired the discussion meeting on organizing activities to coordinate educational work related to artificial intelligence (AI) on May 7, 2025.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked all relevant teams for their hard work in completing the work responsibly.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his support for all initiatives and cooperation in the education sector and encouraged higher education institutions to actively participate in the development of the education sector, especially by integrating technology in the sector to improve the quality of training and research, especially to be ready to respond to the wave of the artificial intelligence revolution that is changing all sectors in the world.
The Minister pointed to the coordination with relevant ministries and institutions to prepare a policy and strategic framework on AI governance to submit to the National Council for Digital Economy and Society for review and decision and doing work related to AI research and development.
He called on relevant ministries and institutions to prepare a roadmap for AI research and development to submit to the National Council for Science, Technology and Innovation for review and decision.
