The President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Khuon Sudary, lauded the improvement in relations between Cambodia and Laos, which has been demonstrated through the exchange of visits by the leaders of the two countries and cooperation at all levels, from the national to local administrations.
The appreciation was made when General Vongsack PHANTHAVONG, Chairman of the National Defense and Security Committee of the Lao National Assembly and Chairman of the Lao-Cambodia National Assembly Friendship Group, paid a courtesy call on Samdech Khuon Sudary, on Wednesday, May, 7th.
The Cambodian National Assembly President said that relations between Cambodia and Laos have been steadily increasing, both within the framework of legislative and executive bodies, saying that this cooperation not only benefits the people of both countries, but also helps support each other both in the bilateral framework and on international forums, with the aim of promoting the economy, trade, tourism, maintaining peace, social stability, and improving the people's livelihood.
The President of the National Assembly stressed that the traditional friendly relations, which have been in place for 69 years, have become the foundation of cooperative relations in all fields and have provided positive results to the nations and peoples of the two countries.
She also expressed her satisfaction and strong support for the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, which have been continuously maintained, developed and progressed, achieving fruitful results based on mutual respect and trust.
