On May 7, 2025, H.E Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, chaired a meeting of the working group to promote the Green Season tourism campaign at the Ministry of Tourism.

The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Tourism and key stakeholders in the tourism sector.

At the annual meeting of the Ministry of Tourism on February 27, 2025, SamdechThipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, supported the launch of the “Green Season” campaign to replace the rainy season from April to October, offering tourists a refreshing tourism experience and the unique beauty of Cambodia during the rainy season, with a landscape full of greenery, cool weather, and a calm atmosphere.

Following the high recommendation of Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister and in order to promote domestic tourism and attract more tourists every month, especially during this green season, which indicated that the Ministry of Tourism has to cooperate with relevant ministries, institutions, sub-national administrations, and the private sector to prepare a mechanism to implement this initiative effectively and efficiently.

The Minister of Tourism stressed that with the participation of the private sector and Cambodian tourism content producers, he will receive more and more good inputs to include in the strategy to attract tourists during the Green Season to increase more than expected.
