Speaking to local people at a ceremony held in Kbal Damrey commune, O'Kreang Senchey district, Kratie province, on Sunday, May 11, to inaugurate the office of the commune Cambodian People’s Party, His Excellency Neth Pheaktra, Minister of Information and head of the Kratie Provincial Party and government working group, encouraged the elderly to help share the bitter experience they had gone through during the Pol Pot regime and the war with younger generations so that they could better understand the pain of Cambodians during the Khmer Rouge regime and in the war.

His Excellency Neth Pheaktra recalled that under the Khmer Rouge rule for more than 3 years, Cambodia had fell into a hell of failure, where social infrastructure was destroyed, traditional culture, and national customs were completely eliminated.

His Excellency Neth Pheaktra said that Cambodian people did not need a regime that had killed their own innocent people and suppressed all kinds of freedoms for the people.

The people need peace, political stability, and development, stressed His Excellency Neth Pheaktra.
