A delegation of the National Election Committee of Cambodia has left for the Republic of Mauritius to attend the 13th General Assembly of Network for Francophone Electoral Competences.

The delegation has been led by Mr. Dim Sovannarom, Head of the Information Response Team of the Committee.

Speaking at a press conference held before departure, Mr. Dim Sovannarom, said that the 13th General Assembly, which lasts from May 13 to 16 , would discuss issues related to the organization of elections and seek a country to host the 14th Assembly in 2026.

He briefed reporters of the background of the network and said that Cambodia became a full member of the network in 2023.

At the invitation of the Network for Francophone Electoral Competences, the National Election Commission of Cambodia has assigned Mr. Dim Sovannarom, Head of the NEC's Information Response Team, to lead the NEC delegation to participate as the representative of the Cambodian in the 13th General Assembly of the RECEF Network, which will be held from 13 to 16 May 2025 in the Republic of Mauritius.
