An initiative has been put forward to transform a site in the province of Kampong Cham into a historic memorial.

Samdech Men Sam On, Member of the Supreme Privy Council to the King, expressed her support for the initiative to turn Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s birthplace into a Techo Sen historical site in Kampong Cham province.

Samdech Men Sam An expressed her support while visiting Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s birthplace in Peam Krao Village, Peam Koh Sna Commune, Stung Trang District, Kampong Cham Province on Sunday May 11, 2025.

H.E Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, his spouse and many other team members were also present after attending the Visakha Bucha festival at the Dragon Statue Monument in Koh Py Commune, Krochmar District.

H.E Huot Hak said that he had a plan to transform and prepare Samdech Techo Sen’s house into a Techo Sen historical site to preserve it as a historical legacy of Samdech Techo Hun Sen and a treasure of the Stung Trang people, and as a study for future generations of young people. He further said that the planned site would help to increase family income that depends on tourism and promote the image of Kampong Cham province with potential and attractiveness.

Samdech Men Sam An encouraged H.E Huot Hak and H.E Un Chanda, Governor of Kanpong Cham Province to work together to study the plan.
