On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in his mission to negotiate a trade agreement in the United States of America, H.E Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, met and discussed work with Ms. Tammy Duckworth, a Senator of the United States of America.

The meeting was also in attendance of her excellency Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, and H.E Koy Kuong, Cambodian Ambassador to the United States and Mexico.

The meeting was organized with the aim of promoting existing cooperation between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the ​United States, and as exploring new opportunities to further strengthen ties for the common benefit of both nations.
