The President of Cambodian National Assembly, Samdech Khuon Sudary met with South Australian Governor and welcomed Australia’s investment in Cambodia’s education sector.
The National Assembly President highlighted that since 1994, approximately 1,000 Cambodian students have received official Australian scholarships, and approximately 10,000 Cambodian students have studied in Australia privately. Australia is a country with a leading education system, and Cambodian citizens are always eager to study in Australia.
Therefore, if it is an investment in Cambodia’s education sector from Australia, the National Assembly always welcomes it, the National Assembly Speaker emphasizing that “Investment in Cambodia is not only about Cambodia, but also about ASEAN and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.
Her excellency Ms. Frances Adamson AC, said that Cambodia and Australia have close ties, from the leadership to the people.
The two sides had a cordial and open discussion about cooperation between the two countries in all areas of both legislative and executive bodies, including diplomacy, investment, trade, tourism, gender equality, vocational training (TVET), especially in the education and technology sectors.
