H.E Neth Pheaktra, Minister of Information, stated that the launch of a plan to train skilled human resources in the information sector is to respond to technological developments to ensure the efficiency of information and audiovisual work in Cambodia, while in 2025, the Ministry of Information has launched a plan to train more than 80 human resources to keep pace with technological developments, social developments, and the need for skilled human resources in the information and media sector.
The remarks were made when H.E Neth Pheaktra presided over the opening of the first basic technical skills training course for civil servants of the Ministry of Information on Monday,May 19, 2025.
H.E Neth Pheaktra added that the human resource training work in the information sector is carried out to strengthen institutional capacity and improve work efficiency through the implementation of a human capital development plan that the Ministry of Information has been implementing not only to help promote the development of civil servants' capabilities in line with the development of national society and technology, but also to prepare a proactive and active succession force and ensure work efficiency.
The Minister stressed that the Ministry of Information has a core function that is responsible for leading and managing the information and audiovisual sector in Cambodia, and in terms of support functions, the Ministry of Information is also a ministry that supports other institutions.
