Samdech Men Sam An, Vice Chairman of the Cambodian People’s Party and Chairman of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association said that the generations of leaders of Cambodia and Vietnam have laid a strong foundation for the friendship and close bonds between the two countries

Samdech Men Sam An, who is also President of the National Council of the Solidarity Front for the Development of Cambodia Motherland paid a courtesy call on H.E Luong Cuong, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in Hanoi, Vietnam on Sunday, May 25, 2025,

Samdech Men Sam An conveyed greetings from Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Cambodian People’s Party President, Samdech  Heng Samrin, Honorary President of the Party, and Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, to the President, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, H.E To Lam, and other senior leaders of the  Party and State of Vietnam. She thanked the Vietnamese government and people for always supporting Cambodia in national construction and development.

For his part, H.E Luong Cuong, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, congratulated Cambodia on the achievements made under Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s leadership. Hestressed that Cambodia’s progress has reflected the sound leadership of the Cambodian People’s Party and the Cambodian government.

The two leaders pledged to strengthen and expand cooperation between the Parties, States and Fronts of the two countries.

Samdech Men Sam An, Vice Chairman of the Cambodian People’s Party and Chairman of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association, was in Hanoi, Vietnam, to pay tribute to His Excellency Tran Duc Luong, former President of Vietnam, who passed away on May 20, 2025 at the age of 88.
