The President of the Senate said that the recent incident at the border would not affect cooperation between Cambodia and Thailand

Addressing the opening of the plenary session of the Senate on Thursday May 29, 2025, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, said that what Cambodia wanted was that the situation at the border returned to its original state and did not affect cooperation in other sectors between the two countries.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen called on all compatriots not to encourage racial hatred and the use of inappropriate language.

We must find a way to resolve this situation to ease the situation and increase mutual trust in order to benefit from the cooperation between the two countries, stressed Samdech Techo Hun Sen.

The President of the Cambodian Senate added that Cambodia and Thailand have achieved a trade volume of more than US$10 billion in the first 4 months of this year, and the two countries have had interests in each other market.
