The President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Mr. Jin Liqun, paid a courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet on Thursday, May 29, in Tokyo, during his official working visit to Japan from May 28 to 31.
Mr. Jin Liqun lauded Cambodia’s rapid development and expressed confidence that, under the wise leadership of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, the Cambodian economy will remain resilient and continue to experience strong growth.
Mr. Jin Liqun affirmed the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank’s readiness to support Cambodia, particularly in infrastructure development, to help foster the country’s resilient and sustainable growth.
For his part, Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister welcomed the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank’s interest and reiterated the Royal Government of Cambodia’s commitment to fostering inclusive, resilient, and sustainable economic development. The Cambodian Prime Minister stressed that the government’s dedication to building new achievements for the nation and its people.
The Cambodian Premier encouraged the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank to deepen its engagement by holding detailed discussions with relevant ministries and institutions, especially the Ministry of Economy and Finance, to identify concrete opportunities for strengthening and expanding cooperation and reaffirmed Cambodia’s openness to cooperation with all partners to advance the country’s socio-economic progress.
