The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, vowed to continue to strengthen relations and promote the “comprehensive strategic partnership” between Cambodia and Japan.
The Prime Minister made the commitment when he held a working meeting with H.E NUKAGA Fukushiro, President of the Japanese National Assembly, on May 30, 2025, during an official working visit from May 28 to 31, 2025 to Tokyo, Japan.
H.E NUKAGA Fukushiro, President of the National Assembly, highlighted the intention to continue to strengthen and expand Cambodia-Japan relations and cooperation to become even closer.
The President of the National Assembly emphasized that the Japanese National Assembly continues to pay attention to and support all activities that contribute to promoting the friendship between the two countries and thanked the Royal Government of Cambodia for always paying attention and creating a favorable environment for Japanese investors in Cambodia.
He was confident that through the visit of the Prime Minister on this occasion, the relationship in the comprehensive strategic partnership between Cambodia and Japan will be further deepened.
For his part, the Prime Minister of Cambodia said that the rapid development of Cambodia in the past is inseparable from the contributions and support of friendly countries, including Japan, which has actively contributed to the process of seeking peace and building and developing Cambodia in the past.
The Cambodian Prime Minister vowed to continue to strengthen relations and promote the “comprehensive strategic partnership” between the two countries to further deepen.The two sides discussed cooperation between the two countries in a number of important fields, including: national defense, security, trade, investment and economy.
