The senate and the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia jointly convened their first Congress on Monday, June 2nd , 2025.

The Congress was chaired by Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate. It was also attended was attended by Samdech Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and members of the Senate, theNational Assembly and the Royal Government.

The Congress discussed the social protection system, the informal economy, and agriculture, which are priority political programs that the Royal Government has submitted for review and approval in order to improve the living standards of the people.

According to Article 2 of the Law on the Organization and Conduct of the National Assembly and Senate Sessions of 2011, the Senate and National Assembly shall meet in their congress to address important national issues when necessary.

The first Senate and National Assembly Congress last two days, from June 2nd to 3rd , 2025. After the closing ceremony, there will be a press conference by Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
