General Vong Pisen, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Deputy Minister of National Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnamese People's Army, met in Phnom Penh on Tuesday June 3, 2025.
General Vong Pisen welcomed General Nguyen Tan Cuong's visit to Cambodia and highly appreciated the visit, which has contributed to the strengthening and expansion of relations and cooperation and to maintaining peace, stability and development of the two countries, in the region and the world.
The Cambodian general spoke of the effective implementation of the cooperation in strengthening security and order at the border and in the waters of the two countries, with the two military sides sharing information and conducting joint patrols to combat cross-border crimes and to resolve emerging problems.
For his part, the Deputy Minister of National Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnamese People's Army said that the defense cooperation between the two countries has been deepened, with the two sides closely cooperating in information exchange and visits at all levels.
