Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, expressed his satisfaction over the stronger traditional relationships and cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam.
During a meeting in Phnom Penh on Wednesday June 4 with General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Deputy Minister of Defense of Vietnam and Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, said that the Cambodia-Vietnam relations have continued to grow stronger and closer based on the spirit of traditional friendship, solidarity, good neighborliness and cooperation in all fields.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen believed that the visit of General Nguyen Tan Cuong to Cambodia would contribute to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, especially in the military sector.
For his part, His Excellency Nguyen Tan Cuong lauded Cambodia’s progress, especially in maintaining stability, peace in the country and economic growth.
He said that a Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Monument has been projected at the Vietnam Museum, and said that the monument would give the country and the international community a deeper understanding of the close relationship between Cambodia and Vietnam in all circumstances, especially in the military sector.
