Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has said that adjusting military positions in conflict-prone areas through mutual understanding between the military commanders of both Cambodia and Thailand has beenessential to avoid large-scale violent clashes.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen further said on his official Facebook post on June 8th, 2025, that the peoples of both Cambodia and Thailand genuinely have desired lasting peace and havenot wished to see war.

Efforts to find a resolution through dialogue have taken place at all levels from the government to frontline military commanders and are now bearing fruit, stressed Samdech Techo Hun Sen.

The Cambodia Senate President called on Cambodian People to trust in the government’s commitment to resolving conflicts through peaceful means.

The President of the Senate added that the measures have remained the only viable path to avoid bloodshed and foster friendship and effective cooperation with the neighboring countries.
