A senior official of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications said that the use of artificial intelligence must be done ethically and responsibly.
H.E Kong Phalla, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, pointed the abbreviation of TOR in his keynote lecture at the recent Digital Intelligence Forum: Artificial Intelligence is the Next Evolution of Finance in Cambodia, organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Phnom Penh.
H.E Kong Phalla said that while T stood for Transformation: meaning that all should embrace new technologies to transform digital economy, O stood for Opportunities: meaning all businesses should seize these opportunities.
He further said that R stood for Responsibility: meaning the use of artificial intelligence must be done ethically and responsibly.
The Secretary of State of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications pointed to the policy framework to promote the digital economy, digital government, and technology development that promotes the use and investment in artificial intelligence, the role of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications in strategic planning and development of artificial intelligence and the use of artificial intelligence in the banking and finance sectors and digital inclusion for all.
He drew the participants’ attention to the new growth of cryptocurrencies and artificial intelligence with new implications for global trade.
