The Ministry of Defense of Cambodia called on people to rely on official information provided by the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Ministries of Defense of Cambodia and Thailand on the border issues.

According to the Cambodian Ministry of Defense’s Facebook page on June 9, 2025, fake news has been spread over the past few days about the situation along the border of the two countries. The Cambodian Ministry of Defense said that this may lead to misunderstandings that can ignite ethnic anger and aggravate the situation.

The Ministry of National Defense urged Cambodians to go for information from clear sources, especially information provided by the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Ministries of National Defense of both countries.
