Cambodia-China Student Exchange Program is an Opportunity for International Education and Culture

The second China-Guizhou-Cambodia Student Exchange Program 2025 was held in Phnom Penh.

H.E. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, presided over the launching of the program on Monday June 9, 2025. He was joined by Ms. WU Haiyan, representative and head of the International Academic Exchange Department of Qiannan Normal University of Nationalities and teachers and Cambodian - Chinese students.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister warmly welcomed all the outstanding Chinese students to Cambodia and highlighted the importance of this exchange program in promoting friendship and cooperation between the two countries, Cambodia and China.

He also encouraged all students to take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn about the culture, traditions and diversity of Cambodia, and share their experiences and knowledge with each other.

The Minister believed that the student exchange program would play an important role in training human resources, strengthening friendships and promoting deeper understanding of each other’s culture in order to build a shared future towards peaceful, prosperous and sustainable development.

The program last for 14 days and was held under the theme of “Plan for Thousands of Outstanding Students to Study Abroad”. It will be an opportunity for Chinese and Cambodian universities to exchange education experience.

Through the program, students will receive many benefits such as increasing mutual understanding, understanding the value of language and strengthening skills, opportunities to learn and speak Khmer, and developing other practical skills through study and practice in the Cambodian environment.
