The Prime Minister of Cambodia expressed his satisfaction with the good result of cooperation between Cambodia and Belgium

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, had a bilateral meeting in Nice, France, on Tuesday June 10 with Her Excellency Annelies Verlinden, Belgian Minister of Justice.

The Prime Minister of Cambodia welcomed the progress of bilateral cooperation between the Belgium and Cambodia, and thanked the Royal Government and people of Belgium for their contributions to supporting mine clearance, education, and the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia.

The Cambodian Prime Minister stressed the importance of the bilateral consultation mechanism between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs in continuing to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation in other areas. He also expressed his satisfaction with the good cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of the two countries and encouraged the two Ministries to expedite the completion of internal procedures to reach the signing of an agreement.

For her part, the Belgian Justice Minister expressed her satisfaction with the progress in the good relations between the two countries and highly appreciated the good cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of the two countries, especially the progress in the negotiations on the agreement in the field of justice.

The bilateral meeting was held on the sidelines of the Third United Nations Conference on Oceans from June 8 to 13, 2025 in Nice, France.

At the invitation of His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic and His Excellency Antonio Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, led a high-level delegation to attendthe Third United Nations Conference on Oceans.
