Cambodia and the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire have agreed to look at the possibility of strengthening and expanding their cooperation.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and H.E Robert Beugré Mambé, Prime Minister of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, reached the agreement when they met on the sidelines of the Third United Nations Conference on Oceans in Nice, France, on 9 June 2025
The two leaders said that the two countries should continue to study the possibility of strengthening and expanding cooperation to be more fruitful and beneficial for the people and countries of both countries.
The Cambodian Prime Minister said that the two countries have some similarities, especially in economic terms. He invited the Prime Minister of Côte d’Ivoire to visit Cambodia at an appropriate time and to attend the 20th Francophonie Summit 2026 in Siem Reap province.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire praised the leadership of the Prime Minister, who has continued to maintain peace, stability and development in all sectors.
He hoped to have the opportunity to pay an official visit to Cambodia and attend the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026, which will be an opportunity to continue bilateral discussions aimed at strengthening and expanding relations and cooperation between the two countries for the better.
At the invitation of His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic and His Excellency Antonio Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, led a high-level delegation to attend the Third United Nations Conference on Oceans.
