Top government officials met to discuss preparations for a mass march in the capital of Phnom Penh in support of the Royal Government.
The meeting was attended by H.E. Neth Savoeun Deputy Prime Minister, by H.E. Hun Many, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Civil Servant and President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia, H.E. Khuong Sreng, Governor of Phnom Penh, and many other senior officials of the ministries and institutions concerned, and of the Phnom Penh on June 16, 2025. According to the meeting, tens of thousands of people are expected to join the “Solidarity March” to show unity in support of the Royal Government and the Cambodian frontline forces.
The meeting reviewed the tasks and responsibilities assigned to all working groups in charge of the event so as to make the program run smoothly and successfully to be an honor for the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Neth Savoeun recommended that all working groups focus on ensuring security and order to ensure the successful organization of the program.
H.E. Hun Many, Deputy Prime Minister, and President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia, said that the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia has reviewed some adjustments to fit the plan in terms of security and safety.
H.E. Neth Pheaktra, Minister of Information said that the march would be broadcast live via all radio and television stations. He assured the meeting that the Ministry of Information would play its role in broadcasting the major political event live on National Television and Bayon Television and all other television stations. The Solidarity March has been initiated by the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia to show support for the Royal Government and troops stationed at the border. The March starts from Koh Pich area to the Monument of Independence.
