Cambodia has decided to stop importing fuel and gas from Thailand.

The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia announced the decision on his official Facebook post on June 22, 2025.

The Cambodian Prime Minister said that the suspension of the import of fuel and gas from Thailand started from midnight on Sunday of June 22, 2025.

The Cambodian Prime Minister said that fuel suppliers in Cambodia have the ability to import fuel and gas from other sources to meet the domestic consumption, not just for a month, but forever.

According to a press release on Sunday, June 22, 2025 of the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Cambodia said that Cambodia has sufficient capacity to supply fuel and gas for domestic demand.
