The Cambodian Prime Minister, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said that in the first 5 months of 2025, the Council for the Development of Cambodia approved 290 investment projects with an investment capital of approximately US$4.2 billion.
The point was made when Samdech Thipadei presided over the one-year anniversary celebration of the Cambodian Investors Federation and had solidarity dinner on June 20, 2025.
According to a report from the Council for the Development of Cambodia, in the first 5 months of 2025, 290 investment projects were approved with an investment capital of approximately 4.2 billion USD. Compared to the same period in 2024, the number of projects increased by 137 projects, equivalent to approximately 90%, while the investment capital increased by approximately US$1.4 billion, equivalent to approximately 52%.
The Cambodian Prime Minister continued to say that, in particular, for the tourism sector, in the first five months of 2025, Cambodia received approximately 2.95 million international tourists, up by 11.7% compared to the same period last year.
The Prime Minister added that the growth in investment projects and tourists demonstrates confidence in Cambodia’s economic stability and balance, social security that ensures peace under win-win politics, and the Royal Government of Cambodia is committed to maintaining peace at all costs.
In addition, the Royal Government of Cambodia is committed to continuing to maintain, protect peace and complete stability at all costs.
