The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit was held at the National Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh on Sunday June 22.

The program was presided over by H.E Neth Savoeun, Deputy Prime Minister.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that the program was to inspire everyone to work together to prevent drug use and trafficking and to eliminate drugs from Cambodia.

H.E Neth Savoeun told the gathering that the theme of the program was chosen by Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister, who said that prevention has been better than suppression and treatment.

His Excellency Neth Savoeun stressed that in order for a society to be drug-free, all must unite and fight against drugs.

The theme of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit in 2025 was “Together to Prevent, Prevent and Eliminate the Roots of the Drug Problem in Cambodia.
