The Prime Minister of Cambodia has encouraged Cambodian people to continue the use and support of local products.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, made the encouragement when he presided over the closing meeting of the Central Committee of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia in Siem Reap province, on Monday, June, 23rd.

The Head of the Royal Government of Cambodia also called on local traders to join the Royal Government in ensuring sufficient supply for local consumers by not taking advantage of the opportunity to raise prices.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet instructed the Ministry of Commerce, which is the executive body of the Royal Government, to help in the distribution of goods in the markets.

A number of measures have been taken by the Royal Government of Cambodia in response to unilateral actions by the Thai military, including a complete ban on imports of certain goods such as vegetables, fruits, all kinds of beverages, fuel and gas from Thailand.

The Royal Government of Cambodia has turned to promoting the use and support of local products while Cambodia has the ability to provide sufficient resources and live independently without relying on neighboring countries.
