The Ministry of Tourism, the Khmer Boxing Federation and Emei-Legend Martial Arts Club from Sichuan Province of China collaborated to develop Sports Tourism in Cambodia.

The collaboration was reached when H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, met with Mr. Mei Jiaxiang, founder of Emei-Legend Martial Arts Institute of Sichuan Province, People’s Republic of China, and H.E. Khao Chhay, President of the Khmer Boxing Federation, in Phnom Penh on July, 7, 2025.

The Minister of Tourism expressed support for the project to create large and international boxing events by linking tourism between the two boxing institutions in Cambodia and China.

The Minister of Tourism also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the excellent initiatives and projects of the two institutions that would help boost Cambodia's rich tourism potential and investment opportunities.

The Minister continued to say that Kun Khmer-Bokator would be promoted to the Chinese people and those in the world through the promotion of boxing of the two countries.
