The 32nd anniversary of the Military Police Day (July 14, 1993-July 14, 2025) has been commemorated

On Monday morning, July 14, 2025, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, presided over a ceremony to inaugurate several facilities at the Chum Sen Military Police Training Center and to commemorate the 32nd anniversary of the Military Police Day (July 14, 1993-July 14, 2025).

The Chum Sen Military Police Training Center is located in Peam Commune, Samaki Meanchey District, Kampong Chhnang Province.

The inauguration ceremony of the Phnom Chum Sen Military Police Training Center is held in conjunction with the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of the Military Police Day, July 14, 1993 - July 14, 2025.

According to a report, the Military Police was established by Royal Decree No. 446 NS. and 447 NS. It was originally called the "Khmer Military Police", and operated until October 5, 1971, when the Khmer Military Police was renamed the "National Military Police".

According to the decree dated July 14, 1993 on the establishment of the General Staff of the Cambodian National Army and the structure of the General Staff, among the specialized military institutions and units, there is a specialized institution, the "Military Police", which has the role of a military police in charge of discipline and order in the army, both in barracks and in public places.

The Royal Cambodian Military Police is a part of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces that has autonomy in law enforcement, and has administrative police activities that are inter-ministerial in nature.

The jurisdiction of the Royal Cambodian Military Police shall be exercised throughout the country over civilians and military personnel in the army.
