H.E Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, spoke about the Royal Government’s initiative to establish a Digital Technology Industrial Park in Cambodia to boost the investment environment in Cambodia.

H.E Sun Chanthol made the point when he met with a delegation of HUAWEI Cambodia Co., LTD., led by Mr. TAO Guangyao, President of HUAWEI Multi-Country in Southeast Asia and CEO of HUAWEI Cambodia Co., LTD, on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

Mr. TAO Guangyao expressed his deep gratitude to the Council for the past support that has played an important role in promoting a favorable environment for Huawei’s growth in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

In addition, the CEO provided a summary report on the progress of Huawei Group and Huawei Cambodia, focusing on the 2024 performance and the current state of the company’s business.

For his part, H.E Sun Chanthol said the Cambodian Prime Minister’s noble initiative to establish a digital technology industrial park in Cambodia, an initiative to promote a vibrant investment environment in Cambodia related to digital industries and high-tech industries.

The two sides also discussed the adoption of digitalization in the process of streamlining operations in state and private institutions, aiming to promote digital innovation in Cambodia to be more prosperous, efficient and effective, in order to contribute to accelerating the development of society and the digital economy in Cambodia in line with the first phase pentagonal strategy of the Royal Government of the 7th mandate, focusing on the first and fifth key priorities, namely people and technology, and the Cambodian Digital Economic and Social Policy Framework 2021-2035.
