The Prime Minister of Cambodia, SamdechThipadei Hun Manet, said that Cambodia is ready to be a strategic partner of businessmen and investors to seize ASEAN's viable economic opportunities and committed to working closely with ASEAN Member States and Dialogue Partners to build a ASEAN economy community with resilient, inclusive and competitive for the common good of the region.
The statement was when Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet presided over the opening ceremony of the "Cambodia-ASEAN Business Summit 2024" under the theme “Unleashing ASEAN’s Potential – Technology, Sustainability and Inclusive Growth, at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokitra Hotel on April 2nd.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet warmly welcomed the national and international delegations who came to Cambodia to discuss under this theme, which is the agenda that is appropriate to the circumstances and ambitions to strengthen the partnership to promote the advancement of technology and promote a more prosperous and equitable ASEAN community.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet stressed that the forum also has the potential to serve as a catalyst for enhancing business cooperation and strengthening relations between ASEAN nations and global partners, and as a foundation for common prosperity and a more resilient economic future for all relevant stakeholders.
The Cambodian Prime Minister added that Cambodia has been making strategic investments in a network of interconnected infrastructure, including the development of expressways, deep-sea ports, international airports and modern logistics centers will promote smooth and efficient regional connectivity to key economic corridors in Cambodia and the ASEAN region as a whole.
