With a clear direction by 2050, Cambodia will leave the status of being a poor country to become a rich country and with this Cambodia will be able to compete with other countries in the world. 

The statement was made by Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister at the graduation ceremony at Lim Kong Wing University on Thursday June 13,

If Cambodia depends on other countries, then Cambodia does not develop its self, and still depend on others, but if we strive to strengthen ourselves with the aim to become a high income country by 2050, Cambodia will not just leave the status of being the poor country or least developing country, but will transform into a high income one by 2050 and can compete with other countries in the world, stressed Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet.

The Cambodian Prime Minister said that until now, there have still been some countries that depend on Cambodia, making Cambodia different from Cambodia in the 1980s.
